PNC (Programmable numerical control) spinning has transformed the spinning industry over the last few decades so parts can be made with more accuracy, replication, and tighter tolerances with faster production cycles per part than manual spinning, as such we can then achieve better finish, more consistent part replication, leading to lower unit cost (depending on batch quantities) and shorter lead times. In comparison the tooling cost is also much lower than press tool manufacture. With PNC production we are also able to offer a method of spinning called shear forming which is mainly used on products like deep cones and can eliminate the need for heat treatment on such parts.
