Mild steel, because of its relative low cost and workability offers a great amount of flexibility in the manufacturing process as it does not work harden like stainless steel, so it will put you on a par with aluminium products with being versatile and complex in shape with fewer of the drawbacks of say having to have heat treatment added to the manufacturing process.

Steel also can be pre coated with finishes like zintec, aluminized and galvanized. Common coatings used to finish mild steel components such as painting, powder coating and chroming which will offer a prolonged life to the parts.
